How to Change Your Email Address
Before You Begin
Before updating your email address, you'll need to contact support to approve your new email. AI Acquisition requires all email addresses to be approved before use.
You must have access to your current email address to complete the verification process.
Step 1: Contact Support to Approve Your New Email
Start a conversation with the Intercom chat agent and share the new email address you want to use. The support team will add it to the approved email list and confirm once complete.
Wait for confirmation from support before proceeding to the next step.
Step 2: Update Your Email in Settings
Once your new email is approved:
Log into your AI Acquisition account
Click Settings in the sidebar
Select Profile from the menu
Find the "Update your Email" section
Enter your new email address in the email field
Click Update Email Address
You'll see a confirmation message that a verification link was sent to your current email address.
Step 3: Verify the Email Change
Check your current email inbox for a confirmation email. Click the verification link in the email to finalize the update.
If you don't see the email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder.
After clicking the verification link, your email address will be updated. You can now log in using your new email address.
Troubleshooting
Error: "This email needs to be approved first"
This means your new email hasn't been approved yet. Contact support via the Intercom chat and request approval for your new email address.
Verification Email Not Received
If you don't receive the verification email:
Check your spam or junk folder
Verify you have access to your current email address
Try submitting the email change request again from Settings > Profile
If issues persist, contact support for assistance

Invalid Email Address Error
Make sure your new email address is in a valid format (e.g., [email protected]).
Updating Email on Other Platforms
If you use AI Acquisition with third-party platforms like Slack or Heartbeat, you'll need to update your email address separately in those services. Changes made in AI Acquisition do not automatically sync to external platforms.
Update your email directly in each platform's account settings to ensure consistent access across all your tools.
